2nd Dandie Dinmont Symposium - Dandie is in danger

The excistence of the Dandie is in real danger - puppies decrease per litter and in total - globally. We will discuss the situation and try to do something about it. First of all we should be aware of the big trouble the Dandie Dinmont is in. Then we could talk about possible solutions. At least we will start here to do something and talk, together with other Dandie Clubs and Dandie lovers. United the Dandie could survive.

We are pleased to announce that Prof. Peter Bedford from England will attend to do Dandie eye testing and give a lecture about eye-diseases.  His costs will be sponsored by the Dandie Dinmont Trust. 

Dr. Mike Harvey will also be attending and he will give a talk about fertility in Dandies. It is hoped that European Dandies will now be part of the recently announced fertility study instigated by the Caledonian DDTC. 

And ..... Blood samples will be taken and sent to Prof. Johnson of  The Uni of Missouri to for his DNA project to find the DNA marker for Glaucoma. The Dandie Dinmont Trust will also be sponsoring this.
