2nd Dandie Dinmont Symposium - Dandie is in danger

The excistence of the Dandie is in real danger - puppies decrease per litter and in total - globally. We will discuss the situation and try to do something about it. First of all we should be aware of the big trouble the Dandie Dinmont is in. Then we could talk about possible solutions. At least we will start here to do something and talk, together with other Dandie Clubs and Dandie lovers. United the Dandie could survive.

Dr Mike Harvey, who recently took early retiral from the University of Glasgow Veterinary School and who is now a Senior Research Fellow at the School, was approached by The Caledonian Dandie Dinmont Club to help investigate The Committee's current concerns regarding Dandie fertility. They have had one extremely useful meeting with him to consider how they should approach the study. With the Kennel Club being interested in supporting threatened breeds such as Dandies, we may approach them once we get the work initiated.

Dr. Harvey has its own website now:

Dr Mike Harvey has now produced the website which will control the Dandie Dinmont Terrier Fertility Project

Fertility Study initiative started by the CDDTC.
