                               The Dandie Dinmont Trust

Dear Dandie Friends,

The cartoons for the book are nearing completion, though there is still much to be done before we get it ‘on the road’ but we will let you all know nearer the time. The University of Missouri are now getting plenty of blood specimens from Dandies, and the proposal goes before the Canine Health Foundation within the next few weeks - and - to date we are looking good.  If it had not been for your interest and our American ‘cuzzins’ sending samples we would still have a way to go.  The Canine Health Foundation will match what ever we can raise in funds - and this is why your help is needed so very much.  There is much work to be done in finding the gene responsible for Glaucoma in our lovely breed.  We are of course hoping for many more sponsors, and you will appreciate that those so far have come to us via internet contact.  Now we are reaching out to those who do not have computers via the press and Dandie Clubs. We were so very delighted when the American Dandie Magazine - Mustard and Pepper did an article on the work being done at the University, and Doug and Julie Young who are the Editors of the ‘Dithers’ are also going to do an article - so we have great hopes - and wish to thank all of you Dandie people out there who are so willing to help

Celia,  Margreth,  Bronwell, Ineke.
